How does the color palette generator work?

Upload your logo or paste a website URL. Pastelab extracts the dominant colors in 30 seconds and generates three professional palettes: extracted colors, complementary colors, and monochromatic variations. Export to CSS, Tailwind, SCSS, or JSON.

Can I extract colors from a website URL?

Yes! Enter any website URL and Pastelab will automatically find the site's logo or favicon and extract its brand colors. This is perfect for researching competitor palettes or matching an existing website's color scheme.

What export formats are available?

Pastelab exports colors as CSS Variables, Tailwind CSS config (tailwind.config.js), SCSS/Sass variables, JSON, Figma tokens, and Android XML. Copy individual colors or use 'Copy All' to grab every hex code at once.

What file formats are supported?

We support JPG, PNG, and SVG files up to 5MB in size. You can also paste images from your clipboard (Ctrl/Cmd+V) or extract directly from a website URL.

How much does it cost?

You get 1 free extraction to try the tool. Additional extractions cost $3 for 5 extractions ($0.60 each). The brand color library (Starbucks, Slack, Netflix, etc.) is always free.
